Vietnam participates in Int'l Language Festival
Update: Nov 27, 2012
The Vietnamese language, culture and cuisines were introduced at the 19th International Language Festival held in Tours city of France on November 24-25.

Two stalls put up by Vietnamese students in France and members of the Touraine-Vietnam Association attracted a lot of visitors who liked to taste traditional food, enjoy conical hat dancing and see documentaries on Lunar New Year (Tet) celebration in Vietnam.

This year's event featured 80 different languages with a total of 50 stalls from 50 language associations, travel agencies, language training centres and friendship associations.

The Vietnamese language has become part of the annual event since 2006 thanks to the Touraine-Vietnam Association's efforts to gather overseas Vietnamese and French lovers of Vietnam.
