On December 12th, a ceremony to open the countryside museum took place in Binh Di commune, Giao Thinh commune, Giao Thuy district, in the Red River Delta province of Nam Dinh.
This is a cultural project led by teacher Ngo Thi Khieu, according to the state's policy of museum socialization. On an area of 6,000 square meters, the museum is divided into displays of tools for agriculture and seafaring; tools of daily life, ancient money, ceramics and pottery; thousands of books and a system of modern computers.
With investment of over VND 4 billion for the first period, five outstanding houses of the northern Vietnam countryside were built.
The museum also recreates daily life of the rural areas in northern Vietnam in feudal times, exhibits objects and images from the struggle against the US, and has a temple to Uncle Ho.
The museum will be a place for local people to visit, helping young people to learn more about the homeland, and is expected to attract both domestic and foreign tourists.
