Niger, Vietnam increase cultural cooperation
Update: Mar 27, 2013
Vietnam will work closely with Niger on a cultural cooperation agreement to be signed in the near future. Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh made the statement while receiving Niger's Minister of Communication, New Information Technologies and Culture Salifou Labo Bouche in Hanoi on March 26.

Bilateral cooperation in culture, sports and tourism remains modest, Anh said, expressing his hope Bouche's visit will open up a new period of cultural cooperation between the two countries.

He briefed his guest on the distinctive culture identities of 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam, their major folk festivals, and the country's World Cultural Heritage.

Bouche suggested that Niger and Vietnam will expand cultural cooperation through delegation exchanges to promote mutual understanding.

He invited Anh to visit Niger to discuss in detail a cultural agreement between the two countries.

The same day, Bouche visited the Vietnam National Museum of History.

Earlier on March 25, Bouche held talks with Vietnamese Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son.
