(TITC) - Aiming to raise community's awareness about water resource preservation, on 19th Aug., the Ninh Thuan's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism released a document calling units, travel businesses and craft villages in the provinces to respond to the World Tourism Day 2013 (27th Sept.).
Accordingly, relevant organizations should propagandize the meaning of World Tourism Day; clean local environment; offer incentive and promotion programs on 27th Sept. such as accommodation discounts, tour discounts, gift vouchers...
In addition, the Ninh Thuan's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also proposed the Provincial Museum to offer free entrance for visitors, My Nghiep and Bau Truc traditional craft villages to reduce prices on this occasion...
Centred on the theme "Tourism and Water: Protecting our Common Future", World Tourism Day 2013 will underline tourism's responsibility and needed commitment to preserving the world's vital water resources. The Maldives will host the official celebrations on 27th Sept. 2013.
As one of the largest economic sector in the world, it is the responsibility of the tourism sector to take a leadership role and ensure companies and destination invest in adequate water management throughout the value chain. If managed sustainably, tourism can bring benefits to the national and local communities and support water preservation.
