Update: Feb 14, 2014
From February 7-10, the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece participated in the 9th international exhibition-fair on tourism and gastronomy (HORECA) in Greece’s capital city of Athens.

This was the first time the embassy joined the event to introduce Vietnamese culture and tourism to international friends.

During the fair, Vietnamese Embassy staff in Greece introduced beef noodle soup, dried meat with kohlrabi salad, fried meat roll and steamed glutinous rice, which was made with Greek food and spices, especially olive oil and vegetables.

The Vietnamese food stall was filled with food decoration of Thien Mu pagoda, doves, lotus, roses with diverse colours arranged in the shape of Vietnam, together with a Dong Son drum and Vietnamese national flag, contributing to introducing Vietnam to international friends.

The Vietnamese stall attracted hundreds of visitors in two hours.

HORECA has become an annual fair, attracting a great number of tourism traders, producers, food, beverage traders from Greece and all over the world. This year, over 2,000 enterprises joined the event, with tens of thousands of visitors coming to the event each day.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Greece is expected to join the fair again in 2015.
