Vietnamese lacquer paintings exhibited in France

Forty Vietnamese contemporary lacquer paintings and 200 handicraft products are on display in Marseille, southern France, introducing a mix of both traditional and modern Vietnamese culture.

Speaking at the opening ceremony on February 20, Marseille Vice-Mayor Roca Serra expressed his pleasure with Vietnam ’s impressive and colourful presence in the city, saying that the exhibition is a continuation of fine partnership between Marseille and Vietnam.

Nguyen Thi Bich Hue, Counsellor at the Vietnamese Embassy in France, described the event as a fine contribution to Marseille’s cultural diversity.

The month-long exhibition is as part of the ongoing “Vietnam Year in France ” festivities.
