The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines announced on May 15 that it will launch two new international routes to airports in Tokyo, Japan in July, from Hanoi - Haneda and Da Nang – Narita.
The airline will operate seven flights per week between Hanoi and Haneda airport from July 1, using Airbus A321 aircraft, while the direct Da Nang – Narita route will begin on July 16 with four flights per week, also using Airbus A321 plane.
Vietnam Airlines’ Deputy General Director Trinh Ngoc Thanh said the opening of new routes to two airports in Tokyo would meet the increasing demand of travellers and connect with Japan’s domestic routes.
Meanwhile, the Narita – Da Nang flights will bring visitors to Viet Nam’s central region and Dang Nang and the central region will become a major tourist destination in Asia, according to Deputy General Director.
To mark the occasion, the airline is offering special promotional prices at US$299 per return ticket on the Hanoi - Haneda route and US$349 per return ticket on Da Nang – Narita route.
The promotion applies to tickets on the Hanoi - Haneda route bought from now until June 15, 2014 with journeys taken from July 1 – 15, 2014 and tickets on the Da Nang – Narita route bought from now until December 31, 2014 with journeys taken between July 16, 2014 and December 31, 2014.
With two new routes, Vietnam Airlines now has 10 routes to Japan and a total of 95 routes to 29 international and 21 domestic destinations.
