VietJet Air to open air route to Russian Far East
Update: Sep 09, 2014
Leading low-cost airline, VietJet Air has announced it is launching a new air route from Viet Nam to Vladivostok in Russia.

The agreement was reached at the 17th session of the Viet Nam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee for Economic, Commercial, Scientific, and Technological Cooperation in Vladivostok city on September 6.

The new air route aims to offer better transport services for visitors from Viet Nam to Russia and facilitate economic and investment activities between the two countries.

The airline will connect the air route to Southeast Asian countries such as Cambodia, Thailand, and Singapore with one stop in Viet Nam.

The number of Russian tourists to Viet Nam has increased over the past few years thanks to the country’s beautiful beaches with reasonable prices of tours.

Last year, Viet Nam welcomed 250,000 Russian visitors, a year-on-year rise of 71%.
