The US Department of State will provide aid to the central province of Thua Thien-Hue to help preserve the Trieu To Temple in Hue imperial city.
The 700,000 USD aid will be channelled through the US Consulate General in HCM City.
The project will focus on restoring the deteriorating front facade of the temple.
Located in the south-eastern part of the imperial city, the Trieu To Temple was built in 1804 to worship Nguyen Kim (1468-1545), the first ancestor of the Nguyen dynasty, and his wife.
At the beginning of this year, the US Department gave nearly 30,000 USD for the restoration of three altars in the temple.
