Vladivostok-Viet Nam air route announced
Update: Nov 25, 2014
Low-cost carrier Vietjet Air has announced its flights connecting Vladivostok of Russia to several Vietnamese localities, including Ha Noi, HCM City, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Hue, and Phu Quoc.

The launching ceremony held in Moscow on November 24 in the framework of Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong’s ongoing visit to Russia, was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai and many senior officials of both countries.

The Ha Noi - Vladivostok flights are set to open in May 2015, with a frequency of three return flights per week. On average, an one-way flight is estimated to take around 5 hours and 30 minutes.

The new air route aims to boost Viet Nam-Russia aviation cooperation and meet the increasing demand of passengers from the two countries.

Vietjet said it will conduct flights between other Vietnamese and Russian provinces and cities, and connect to other regional countries, such as Cambodia, Thailand and Singapore with a stop-over in Viet Nam.
