Ho Chi Minh city welcomed more than 412,000 foreign tourist arrivals in January 2015, a year-on-year rise of 8%, reported the municipal People’s Committee.
Total tourism turnover of the city posted over VND7.79 trillion, up 7% in comparison to the same month last year.
In 2015, the southern hub targets at strengthening sustainable tourism growth, promoting regional association and diversifying tourism products. In addition, the city continues to carry out the Environmentally Responsible Tourism programme in this year.
Ho Chi Minh city expects to receive about 4.7 million foreign tourist arrivals and served over 19 million domestic visitors in 2015, grossing a revenue of VND98.2 trillion.
