Cultural activities at Culture Tourism Village of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups

From April 28th to May 3rd, a range of diverse cultural activities of six ethnic groups in the northern provinces will take place at the Culture Tourism Village of Viet Nam Ethnic Groups in Son Tay town, Ha Noi.
A festival of Thai and Muong ethnic minority groups

This is a cultural exchange programme of the Mong, Tay, Nung, Muong, Thai and Dao ethnic minority groups from the northern provinces of Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Hoa Binh, Son La, Lang Son, Tuyen Quang and Bac Kan, and Ba Vi District, Ha Noi. It is held on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of southern liberation and national unification (April 30th), May Day and the Cultural Day of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups (April 19th).

Accordingly, five major activities, including goat fighting of the Mong ethnic minority group in Ha Giang Province, northern mountainous market with the participation of 30 pavilions on local special foods, ethnic folklore games, folklore singing and dance performances, and an exhibition on cultural and daily life ethnic minority groups in the Northeast, Northwest and the Central Highlands will be held during these days.

Activities will be held by the Management Board of the Viet Nam Culture Tourism Village of Viet Nam Ethnic Groups in coordination with several Provincial Cultural Centers and Ba Vi District People’s Committee to introduce tourists to the specific culture of Vietnamese ethnic minority groups.
