The central province of Binh Thuan welcomed close to 200,000 visitors during the six-day national holiday that began on April 28.
The tourism sector earned around 210 billion VND (989,000 USD) in revenue, up 14.2 percent from the same period last year, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The volume of domestic tourists to the province saw an annual rise of 17.5 percent, mainly from Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, and the southern provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Lam Dong.
During the national holiday, local tourist sites Tien Thanh, Hon Rom and Long Son beaches attracted scores of visitors to join camping and sports activities.
Cam Binh, Nganh Tam Tan, Binh Thanh and Bau Trang beaches were also abuzz.
Ham Tien and Mui Ne regions were crowded with foreign visitors playing golf and water skiing, among other activities.
The tourism sector said environmental protection, hygiene and food safety were ensured during the holiday.
