Viet Nam’s cultural products, imbued with national identities, were showcased at the 7th Annual Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration, taking place from 1pm to 5pm on May 9 at Stony Brook University in New York, receiving special praise from international friends and local citizens.

The annual event, themed ‘One World, Many Cultures’, brought together representatives from Asian countries’ permanent missions to the United Nations, as well as individuals of the Asian national community living, studying and working in New York and other neighbouring states, including Viet Nam, Japan, Republic of Korea, China, India, Pakistan and Thailand, among others.
Participating countries took the occasion to show off their unique cultural features as well as cultural and natural heritages to American people, international friends and overseas students studying at Stony Brook University, aiming to strengthen solidarity and mutual understanding among nations.
Viet Nam’s permanent mission to the UN and other agencies in New York introduced visitors to the S-shaped country’s famous landscapes, beauty of Ao dai (a traditional Vietnamese dress), handicraft and fine art products and traditional dances, while promoting the image of a friendly and hospitable Viet Nam.
