Khoa Tran Eco-Tour in the ancient town of Hoi An has launched a new tour featuring ba trao, a traditional singing style of local fishermen.
Tourists can learn how to sing ba trao and dress up like local fishermen for a ceremony to worship the whale before starting a fishing trip from Cua Dai fishing village to Thu Bon River.
Many of the first-time participants in the tour expressed pleasure and excitement to have a chance to experience and know about a unique cultural trait of Hoi An in the central coast province of Quang Nam.
According to Tran Van Khoa, director of Eco-Tour Hoi An, the tour so far has drawn attention of international tourists. The company wants this new product to help promote local culture to the world.
