Initially, the tourist route is exploited 1 tour/week in July and August 2015 with a maximum of 8 people/tour. From 2016 (February to August), the route will be operated 3 tours/week.

Before allowing Oxalis to exploit the route of Nuoc Nut – Va caves, People’s Committee of Quang Binh Province surveyed the two caves and approved the plan to ensure safety for tourists.

Nuoc Nut – Va caves route is a journey including walking, trekking, crossing streams… with increasing difficult levels. The tour lasts for 2 days – 1 night with the total distance of 20km. Especially, tourists will have the opportunity to explore vast vault in Nuoc Nut Cave and stalactite lakes in Va Cave.

Nuoc Nut Cave was discovered in 2001 by Mr. Nguyen Huy Du, an employee of Oxalis Company. The cave has the length of over 2.2km and vast vault. After exploring Nuoc Nut Cave, tourists continue walking for about 1 hour to get in Va Cave and camp overnight in the cave. Found by Mr. Ho Khanh in 2000, Va Cave is 1,686m long, 99m wide and 55m tall and includes 2 compartments separated by a 15m-high-stone wall. The entrance of Va Cave is sinkhole located in a valley surrounded by the cliffs. Therefore, in order to go into the cave, tourists must use safety equipment and conform guidance of experienced experts.  Once through the cave entrance, tourists will wade streams in caves more than 500m, then continue to pass 15m-high wall for the next compartment, where has stalactite lakes with about 1,000 columns. The stalactite columns here have pyramid shape, relatively uniform size and special structure. From hard object like logs at the bottom of the lake..., undergoing up and down of water, white stalactites columns were created with calcium plaques on their surface. Due to such structure, the stalactite columns are precious, brittle and almost not be found in the world.

According to the experts of British Caving Association, with specific structure and beauty of stalactite system, Va Cave owns excellent beauty and its stalactite system is more beautiful than in Son Doong Cave.

With more favorable terrain, tour of Nuoc Nut – Va caves is considered one of the good choice for short holidays, instead of Son Doong Cave exploring tour.
