The Central Highlands province of Lam Dong attracted more than 1 million visitors who came for sightseeing and convalescence in June and July. The number of foreign arrivals declined slightly while domestic arrivals increased sharply.
According to Lam Dong province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in June alone, the locality attracted 531,000 arrivals, including 12,500 foreign and 518,500 domestic tourists.
In July, the number of arrivals to Lam Dong was estimated at 485,000. Among them 11,780 were foreigners and 473,220 were domestic tourists.
The number of tourists to Lam Dong province reached 2,986,000 in the first seven months of this year. It was up 8.97% compared to the same period last year, achieving 59.72% of the year’s plan.
The number of foreign arrivals was estimated at 104,180, down 9.47%, gaining 34.73% of the year’s plan.
Domestic arrivals were about 2,881,820, showing a year-on-year increase of 9.78%, and reaching 61.3% of the year’s plan.
