The Vietnamese Cultural Center in France in cooperation with Mediatheque company of the Paris Municipal administration and the Vietnamese Association in France has launched a creative writing contest entitled Viet Nam Aux 5 Saisons (Viet Nam-the 5th Season).
The event aims to promote mutual understanding and friendship between the two nations.
The organizing board of the contest said Viet Nam was a country hosting a diverse range of cultures. There are only four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter, but in Viet Nam there is a fifth, the season of culture, the season for cultural festivals and traditional values.
Participants are all citizens who are currently living, working or studying in France; those who have gone or traveled to Viet Nam or who have studied and experienced cultural of the country through books or newspaper documents. Contestants may choose French or Vietnamese to write their feelings.
The results of the competition will be announced next January 9th, 2016.
