(TITC) – On 22 August 2015, in Ha Noi, VNAT’s Director General, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan had a meeting with Regional Head of Business Development Asia-Pacific, VFS Global Company – Beijing Branch Office, Mr. Kwa Tjun Kyet.
According to Mr. Kwa Tjun Kyet, VFS Global is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Kuoni Group, a public-listed company headquartered in Zurich. VFS Global is outsourcing and technology services specialist for governments and diplomatic missions worldwide.
The company's highly differentiated solutions portfolio includes dedicated visa and passport application centers, information services (call centers), web based modules, biometrics (data capture and transfer), translation, logistics solutions, database management, security solutions, financial solutions…
VFS Global hoped to cooperate with VNAT in promoting Viet Nam's tourism in Indian market. VFS Global proposed to establish Vietnamese visa application center in India which will facilitate visa issuance for Indian tourists to Viet Nam.
Speaking at the meeting, Director General Nguyen Van Tuan emphasized India is one of important markets of Viet Nam’s tourism. In the recent years, VNAT has organized promotional activities in India to attract more Indian tourists to Viet Nam. In September 2015, VNAT will participate in PATA Travel Mart Expo in Bangalore and organize the roadshow to promote Viet Nam’s tourism in Mumbai and hoped to receive support from VFS Global in this event.
The Director General appreciated the solution of VFS to promote Viet Nam's tourism in India. VNAT will discuss with the Embassy of Viet Nam in India in regard to proposal of VFS Global on establishing Vietnamese visa application center in India.
