Phan Dinh Hue, director of Viet Circle Travel and Services Co., Ltd., told the Daily on Wednesday, “The tendency that groups of under 10 select Free & Easy tours is increasing while there is less interest in package tours.”

Free & Easy is an option of travel which is not new to foreigners but for local travelers, it remains new though local travel firms introduced this kind of travel years ago.

Most people who book Free & Easy tours are businessmen and high-income earners, who want to have all-in-one foreign trips that simultaneously feature leisure, shopping, medical treatment or business.

Since May, C5 Group comprising Viet Circle Travel and Service Co. Ltd. and four partners launched a Free & Easy HCMC-Phnom Penh (Cambodia) tour lasting three days and departing every Friday at a price of US$89 a guest. “We have 70 to 100 travelers taking this tour every week,” Hue of Viet Circle said.

In the near future, C5 Group will extend Free & Easy to new destinations such as Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and the U.S.

Lua Viet Tours is targeting companies at industrial parks for its Free & Easy tours, and cooperating with the HCMC Export Processing And Industrial Zones Authority to attract businessmen who wish to go abroad for both business and leisure with family.
