Air Mekong will open a new air route between Hanoi and Phu Quoc island district on April 28, using Bombardier CRJ 900.
A daily direct flight from Hanoi to Phu Quoc will start at 6am and return to Hanoi at 12.40am.
This domestic flight known as the longest in Vietnam is now reduced by half to a little more than two hours compared to the transit flight through Ho Chi Minh City.
In summer, Air Mekong will run two flights a day between Hanoi and Da Lat at the weekend and also raise the frequency of flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao, Pleiku and Phu Quoc.
