(TITC) – On 30 Sept 2015, Deputy Director General of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung had a meeting with Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Viet Nam, Mr. Valery Sadokho.

At the meeting, the Ambassador spoke highly of tourism potential of Viet Nam with long coast, beautiful beaches and good services which are very attractive to Belarusian tourists. He informed that Belarusian tourists always shared positive feedbacks after their trips to Viet Nam and hoped to come back. Recently, the increasing number of Belarusians to Viet Nam could be seen partly due to visa exemption for citizens of Belarus from July 1, 2015, however, permitted duration of stay in Viet Nam is not exceeding 15 days.
He emphasized that the two sides should encourage partnerships among tourism businesses to expand bilateral tourism cooperation. Viet Nam and Belarus signed cooperation agreement of television sector which would help facilitate tourism promotion of the two countries.
According to the Ambassador, Belarus is an attractive destination for Vietnamese tourists with mild weather, cool climate and tranquil beauty as well as good healthcare services.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Director General Nguyen Quoc Hung affirmed that Viet Nam and Belarus have had a good relationship for a long time. Vietnamese students and citizens in Belarus and Belarusian experts in Viet Nam have become a bridge between Viet Nam and Belarus in terms of economic, cultural and tourism exchange. Viet Nam always welcomes and regards Belarusian people as close friends.
On this occasion, the two sides discussed about tourism cooperation program in the coming time. Viet Nam delegation including Leaders of VNAT and several tourism businesses is expected to visit Belarus and organize roadshows introducing Viet Nam tourism in next October.
