Nearly 100 outstanding handicraft items of Venezuela are being on show at an exhibition held by the country’s Embassy in the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang.
The event, opened on November 25, features such products as bags, hats, vases, baskets, wallets, footwear, cradles and jewelry made from various materials by Venezuelan cooperatives and artisans.
It is part of a working visit to Tuyen Quang by the Venezuelan Ambassador to Viet Nam and intended to help local residents learn more about the Latin American country’s culture. It also aims to open up opportunities for cooperation between Tuyen Quang and the embassy as well as Venezuelan localities, thus contributing to the countries’ relations.
Ambassador Rondon Uzcategui said in his opening speech that he is delighted at the countries’ encouraging cooperation outcomes, particularly the signing and implementation of agreements and projects in energy, oil and gas, agriculture, aquaculture, industry, science-technology, education-training and telecommunications.
The display will be open for the public until November 28.
