Low-cost airline Jetstar Pacific will be operating more flights on domestic routes from January 22 to March 8, 2016 in order to meet the increasing demand for travel on the Lunar New Year (Tet) occasion.
Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City-Tuy Hoa air route will have two flights per day; the routes between HCM City-Chu Lai (Quang Nam province) and Buon Ma Thuot-Vinh increase from three fights per week to one flight per weekday.
The air routes connecting HCM City with Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Hue, Nha Trang and Phu Quoc will be served with three to four flights per day, while the number of flights will be two per day for the HCM City-Buon Ma Thuot route, four to six per day for the HCM City-Da Nang route, and 12 to 13 per day for the HCM City-Ha Noi route.
Tickets for these flights are already on sale to serve passengers’ early registration. Jetstar will also receive and put into use three additional Airbus A320 aircrafts during the Tet period.
For the 2015 Christmas occasion, the airline is implementing a four-day promotion programme entitled ‘Return for Free’ starting at 11am on December 24. Passengers only have to pay for one-way fares and are able to receive a return ticket free of charge.
Jetstar Pacific is currently operating 32 domestic and international air routes. In 2015 alone, the airline launched 14 new domestic routes. Recently, two major shareholders of Jetstar, including Vietnam Airlines and Australia’s Qantas Airways, have announced a long-tern development plan for the airline, targeting a fleet of 30 A320 aircrafts in 2020.
