A musical concert and firework performance rounded off the 9th Hue Festival on May 4, which attracted thousands of revellers.
The 6-day annual festival gathered nearly 1,200 Vietnamese and international performers who entertained the crowd with 53 consecutive shows.
Visitors were treated to a series of mini-festivals on food, hot air balloons, fashion, kite-flying, poetry and dancing, among other activities.
During the festival, the central province of Thua Thien - Hue welcomed 250,000 tourist arrivals, up 23 percent from the previous festival. Of the total, 68,200 were foreign visitors.
With the theme “Cultural heritage with integration and development,” the festival aims to honour the 710th anniversary of the region, Thua Thien-Hue (formerly known as Thuan Hoa, and then Phu Xuan).
