An exhibition of photos, reportage and documentary films on peoples in the ASEAN Community is scheduled to be held from May 14-17 in the Tuan Chau Island Tourism Complex in the city of Ha Long, northern Quang Ninh province, according to the Ministry of Information and Communications.
The exhibition will feature over 300 photos and nearly 60 reportage and documentary films on peoples in the ASEAN Community that were awarded at the festivals of photos, reportage and documentary films on ASEAN held in 2010, 2013 and 2015.
The photos, reportage and documentary films reflect the cultures, costumes, traditions, languages, health, education, industries, agriculture, and environments of the peoples in ASEAN nations.
The event aims to promote the real-life images and achievements of ASEAN peoples in terms of culture, the economy, society and religion, as well as reflect a united and dynamic ASEAN with great potential.
It also aims to raise the awareness of people on the formation of the ASEAN Community.
Viet Nam together with Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand form the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
