A stamp exhibition with the theme of “Viet Nam - endless charm” was opened at the Thai Philatelic Museum in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 29.
The event is organised by Thailand Post and will last until December 31.
Speaking at the event, Viet Nam’s Ambassador to Thailand Nguyen Tat Thanh said the exhibition will give visitors an insight into Viet Nam’s struggle for independence and reunification under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh as well as the country’s post-war economic transformation into a dynamic economy.
The ambassador highly appreciated the work of the Thailand Post in organising the exhibition and hoped that the coordination between the two countries’ post sectors will contribute to the Viet Nam-Thailand strategic partnership.
A representative of the Thailand Post said via the stamp collections displayed at the exhibition, Thai people will understand more about Viet Nam, its people and traditional culture and natural landscapes.
The exhibits include a collection with the theme of “Puppetry”, which was issued jointly by the posts of the two countries on the 40th anniversary of the Viet Nam-Thailand diplomatic relationship.
The exhibition also provides general information on President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary career and the friendly relationship between Viet Nam and Thailand.
