(TITC) - Hang Luoc Flower Market is located in Hang Luoc Street and the nearby streets as Hang Ruoi, Hang Chai, Hang Khoai, etc. Formed in the early 20th century, Hang Luoc Flower Market is considered as the oldest flower market in Ha Noi.

The market is only open once a year from the 15th to 30th days of the last lunar month. On this occasion, the growers from the flower villages around Ha Noi as Nghi Tam, Quang Ba, Tay Tuu, etc bring flowers and ornamental plants to the market to sell. In addition to the peach flower, chrysanthemun, gladious, dahlia, violet, narcissus, etc, the market also has many import flower types of orchird, tulip, etc. Among colourful flower stands are the stalls selling a lot of unique fruits as gourd-shaped pomelos, finger citrons, etc and decorations, red envelops for Tet (Lunar New Year Festival). All create the typical animated atmosphere of Tet in Ha Noi.

From early morning until late evening, Hang Luoc Flower Market is always crowded. Many people come the market not only to buy flowers but also enjoy Tet atmosphere. This makes Hang Luoc Flower Market become an indispensable cultural feature of Ha Noi’s people in Tet.
