The railway sector will add more than 30 trains on the North – South route to meet the travel demand during the Hung Kings’ death anniversary holiday, and National Reunification Day (April 30th) and International Labour Day (May 1st).
Accordingly, Viet Nam Railway Corporation will increase trains on April 5th and 6th and from April 27th to May 2nd. Beside pairs of trains daily, the Sai Gon Railway Transport Company will run eight more trains on the Sai Gon - Nha Trang route, including SNT3, SNT4, SNT6, SNT7, SNT8, SNT9, SNT10 and SNT11.
The Sai Gon - Quy Nhon route will have four more trains with codes SQN2, SQN3, SQN5 and SQN6.
Earlier, the company put high-quality and modern trains on the Sai Gon - Nha Trang route from February 20th, and on the Sai Gon - Phan Thiet route from March 20th.
From April 27th to May 2nd, the Ha Noi Railway Transport Company will run an additional 20 trains on the Hanoi - Thanh Hoa, Ha Noi - Dong Hoi, Ha Noi - Da Nang, Ha Noi - Lao Cai and Ha Noi - Hai Phong routes.
During the holidays, passenger delegations of more than 10 people will be offered 6-12% discount when travelling on the Ha Noi - Sai Gon route for a distance of over 1,300 kilometers.
