VNAT organizes Viet Nam tourism roadshow in Nordic countries

(TITC) – On September 13, a roadshow to promote Viet Nam tourism took place in Copenhagen, Denmark. 


The roashow in Denmark attracted the participation of nearly 70 delegates

The event attracted the participation of nearly 70 delegates from Danish and Vietnamese tourism associations, tourism enterprises, representative of Vietnamese Embassy in Denmark, and local press.

Speaking at the roadshow, Chairman of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Van Tuan stressed that Viet Nam and Denmark are celebrating 46th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation in 2017. Many culture exchange activities have been organized to enhance the relationship between two countries.

According to statistics, tourists from Denmark to Viet Nam in 2016 reached more than 30 thousand arrivals, up 13% over 2015. There were morre than 25 thousand Denmark visitors arrivals to Viet Nam in the first eight months of 2017, a 11.9% increase over the same period last year.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan said that even though the number of Denmark visitors accounted for a small proportion of the total international visitors to Viet Nam but this is an important source market with long stay and high expenditure. Denmark is considered as a potential market that can be further boosted to promote tourists exchange between the two countries.

In the roadshow, Viet Nam delegation introduced Viet Nam famous destinations such as Ha Noi Capital, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Hoi An Ancient Town, Nha Trang City, Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta region, Phu Quoc Island...

The roadshow in Denmark was part of Viet Nam’s campaign to promote tourism in four Nordic countries including Denmark (13 September), Norway (15 September), Finland (18 September) and Sweden (20 September).
