(TITC) - Following the roadshow in Kaohsiung City, on July 26, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) continued to introduce Viet Nam’s tourism products and policies to enterprises and visitors in Taipei City, Taiwan.

Speaking at the event, VNAT’s Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong stressed Viet Nam has become an increasingly popular destination for international visitors with high-quality services and products thanks to diversified nature and unique culture. Also, Viet Nam’s attractions have been highly valued by leading tourism websites in the world.
Overview of the roadshow
Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong affirmed that Viet Nam always encourages and facilitates tourism enterprises of the two sides to strengthen tourism cooperation. Last year, the number of exchange tourists between the two sides reached nearly 1 million arrivals, seeing a two-fold increase after 5 years. She appreciated the achievements of tourism cooperation between the two sides, particularly the positive contribution of tourism enterprises and airlines, media etc.

Attending the event, Chief Secretary of Taiwan’s Tourism Bureau Lin Kun-yuan informed that new air routes connecting cities of Viet Nam and Taiwan importantly contributed to the strong growth in the number of exchange tourists between the two sides. Furthermore, Taiwanese enterprises actively introduced Viet Nam’s landscapes and culture to Taiwanese people.
Particularly, he hoped to enhance tourism cooperation with Viet Nam in area of cruise tourism – a priority of Taiwan tourism sector. This would be a good platform to accelerate the visitors flow from Taiwan to Viet Nam in the coming time.
At the event, Vietnamese traditional culture was also introduced to participants through interesting water puppetry performance by Vietnamese artists.
