Experiencing Indian culture in Viet Nam

Vietnamese people and other friends of India in Viet Nam will have an opportunity to experience Indian culture at the Diwali and Dussehra Celebration at Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center, 63 Tran Hung Dao street, Hoan Kiem district, Ha Noi on November 2nd.  

The program includes cookery show, Indian dolls corner, charity bazaar, henna stall, food stall and saree draping from 18h00 to 19h30. Participants will also have a chance to enjoy Garba, a form of dance originated in the state of Gujarat in India, from 19h30.

Diwali is the Indian Festival of Lights and Dussehra marks the victory of Lord Ram and his joyous return to his people and Kingdom. The two festivals are celebrated to mark the victory of light over darkness, of good over evil and of right over might. These Indian festivals are also celebrated in many Southeast Asian countries.​

The entrance to the celebration is free of charge and open to all age groups.
