A wide variety of attractive activities will be held in the Hanoi Old Quarter in Hoan Kiem District from September 25 to October 1, creating a meaningful playground for children.

The main activities will take place at the Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Centre.
At the event, artisans and craftsmen will introduce how to make traditional mid-autumn toys such as star lanterns, crafted paper masks, dough animal shapes, and paper kites.
The artisans and experts will also talk about the meaning of traditional toys and games, which will help nurture children’ssouls.
In addition, children will have the chance to know more about the atmosphere to welcome mid-autumn festival as well as join in decorating the spaces for the festival at the Heritage House (87 Ma May Street), Kim Ngan Temple (42-44 Hang Bac Street) and the Heritage Information Centre at 28 Hang Buom Street.
Especially, many experience and interaction activities will be held in the form of livestream; meanwhile technological apps will be used to support artisans and craftsmen to exchange and instruct children and their families to make traditional toys.
A meaningful programme will also be held at the VietnamMuseum of Ethnology from September 26-27, with various practical activities for children to enjoy during the mid-autumn festival.
In addition to making traditional toys, participants will have a chance to enjoy lion dance performances and learn about the traditional foods of this special festival.
