(TITC) - On 2nd March 2020, in Hanoi, Vice-Chairman of VNAT, Mr. Ha Van Sieu had a meeting with the State Parliament Sachsen – Anhalt and the members of the Committee for Federal and European Affairs and Media, headed by the Chairman, Mr. Daniel Sturm.
The meeting
At the meeting, Mr. Daniel Sturm said the members hoped that this trip would create an opportunity to exchange with Viet Nam their experiences in developing tourism and training human resources that helped to increase the number of visitors traveling between Germany and Viet Nam as well as to enhance the bilateral tourism cooperation.
Welcoming the delegation of parliament members of Sachsen – Anhalt State to Viet Nam, Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Vice-Chairman of VNAT said that Germany is one of the key markets to Vietnam tourism and that the visitors from Germany to Viet Nam are of high quality and long stay. Vietnamese people do love them and welcome them. In the year 2019, nearly 230,000 German visitors have come to Viet Nam, an increase of 6% over 2018. Mr. Vice-Chairman confirmed that Viet Nam is always a safe, friendly, and hospitable destination with beautiful landscape and always welcomes all international visitors, including ones from Germany in particular and European countries in general. He wished that in the future, the Vietnam tourism industry would have a chance to foster tourism cooperation with the State of Sachsen – Anhalt and the Federal of Germany.

“The relationship in economy and tourism between Viet Nam and Germany has been strongly developed, partly thanks to the active support of the Embassy of Germany and the Delegate of German Industry and Commerce in Viet Nam as well as by the direct flight of Vietnam Airlines from Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City to/from Frankfurt which facilitates the transportation and traveling between the two countries” – the Vice-Chairman stressed.
Sachsen - Anhalt is one of the 16 states of Germany which ranks at the 8th in dimension and the 11th in population of Germany. Magdeburg is the state’s metropolis.
Sachsen-Anhalt has 5 world heritages recognized by UNESCO, of which Quedlinburg is the most prominent with the Romanesque architecture built mostly by wooden material.
