Cai Chien island – untouched paradise in Quang Ninh province

(TITC) - Located in Quang Dien Commune, Hai Ha District, Quang Ninh Province, about 330km to the north-east of Ha  Noi, Cai Chien is an unspoiled island and has emerged as a new destination for those who love discover.

From Ghenh Vo Wharf in Quang Dien Commune, taking speedboat for about 20 minutes, visitors arrive in Cai Chien Island, more than 6km to the south-east of the mainland.

With an area of ​​nearly 2,600ha, Cai Chien Island consists of small hills and lush primary forests, where is home to many species of birds, animals, etc. The area around the island has many rocks, which are suitable habitat for many marine species, typically snails.

Most of the beaches in Cai Chien Island remain unspoiled feature. The island has 3 beaches, including Van Ca, Cai Chien and Dau Rong (Dragon Head). Of which, Dau Rong Beach is the best choice for visitors thanks to sandy bank stretching about 2km, clear water and casuarina forest along the coast. Visiting Dau Rong Beach, visitors can also take photos with floating rafts or walk in the cool pine forest. Rice fields are also unique feature of Cai Chien Island. Especially, from Dau Rong Beach, visitors can take a boat to Thoi Xanh Island – a pristine island with many beautiful sand banks.

Cai Chien Island has nearly 120 households with about 700 people who live mainly on farming and fishing. The island has been invested to build a 15km concrete road across the island, wharf, electricity system, tram service, motels, and homestay service, etc. Coming here, visitors have the opportunity to go fishing, catch snails with local people. This will definitely be an unforgettable experience for visitors.
