A wide range of attractive activities are being introduced at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Dong Mo Tourism Area in Son Tay Town, Hanoi, to reproduce the rural markets of Vietnamese ethnic groups from July 23-25.

The activities will feature the participation of over 100 people from 13 ethnic groups who are living in the village as well as 20 artisans from the Duong Lam ancient village and 20 volunteers.
Visitors will have the chance to enjoy various typical foods of many localities in the northern region, such as sticky rice, chicken cooked with bamboo shoots, grilled children, pork, honey, coffee, cocoa, fish with sour bamboo shoots and pork ribs.
In addition, many handicraft products such as pottery, brocade and musical instruments will be available to purchase at the market.
Visitors will also join in various traditional folk games of ethnic groups including tug of war, walking on stilts, skipping rope, mandarin square capturing and bamboo jacks as well as learn more about the traditional festivals of the ethnic groups.
Many activities will be held for children such as a beautiful handwriting contest and a painting contest entitled “I love my village” as well as tours to explore the typical features of Vietnamese villages.
The village’s management board said tthe activities will be organised but perhaps not carried out fully if the COVID-19 epidemic is still complicated.
