The Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition (Vietnam Foodexpo), the largest event in the country’s food industry, is scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City from November 16 to November 19.
The event will attract the participation of roughly 400 businesses from over 30 Vietnamese cities and provinces, as well as those from around 20 countries and territories around the world.
It will feature approximately 500 booths, offering a wide range of agricultural products such as fresh, dried, frozen and canned fruits, seafood, beverages, food materials, and food processing technology equipment.
As part of the event, Vietnam Food Forum 2022 is slated to be held on November 16 and chaired by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE).
The occasion will represent the most important annual forum for exhibitors as they follow up on current local food trends and relevant government policies. In addition, it will offer a platform to share knowledge and experience relating to the food industry, solutions to enhance the value chain, and develop market for the Vietnamese food industry.
Furthermore, a trade connection programme between Vietnamese firms and foreign partners will be planned, aiming to help local businesses expand their market share and connect to distribution systems based in foreign countries.
The function will be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre and is expected to welcome over 20,000 visitors.
The first Vietnam Foodexpo got underway in 2015 as part of a national trade promotion programme run by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT). The annual expo was held virtually in 2020 and 2021 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
