Delta Airlines flight NW1/DL 4362 landed at Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport on June 1.
This is the first flight the airline has made from the US to HCMC with transits in Tokyo, Japan. Delta Airlines’ Executive Director in Asia, Brain Swain, said that the airline will provide daily flights from Tokyo at 18:45 (local time) to Tan Son Nhat Airport at 23:10. After that it will depart at Tan Son Nhat Airport at 6:10 am and arrive in Tokyo at 14:05(local time). After arriving in Tokyo, passengers will change to a plane operated by Northwest airlines (a subsidiary of Delta Airlines) and continue on destinations in the US.
So far, three American airlines now operate air routes to Vietnam including United Airlines, American Airlines and Delta Airlines.
