Ba Den Mountain: A brilliant paradise of flowers
According to the site’s management board, since the beginning of the year, the site has welcomed over 2 million tourists, making it one of the most visited spiritual tourist destinations in the country.
Ba Den Mountain is now home to 30 species of flowers, more than 400,000 trees, and thousands of types of tulips.
Luong Hoa, a tourist from Binh Phuoc province shared, that she didn't expect that now, even in Tay Ninh, she could touch the beautiful tulip flowers, which are often associated with the Netherlands or cold countries far from Vietnam.
The carpet of tulips is at its most beautiful on the top of Ba Den Mountain.
Meanwhile, Pham Hoa, a traveller from Tay Ninh City said that since Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, she and her friends have visited Ba Den Mountain twice, because she didn’t want to miss the opportunity to see the tulip carpet, which is in full bloom and looks extremely charming.
Many unique miniatures have been set up as check-in corners for visitors to Ba Den Mountain, such as a windmill, heaven's gate - which was formed from trees and flowers like a passage into the endless space of heaven and earth, small-sized Buddha statues along the flower paths, and the heart-shaped designs for Valentine's Day.
The visitors also have the opportunity to enjoy special art performances imbued with Khmer culture, through instrument musical performances, Khmer folk dance, and Chhay Dam drum performance - as a national intangible cultural heritage.
These days, Ba Den Mountain is also a favourite tourist attraction for those living in the South, especially Ho Chi Minh City, to escape from the heat, as the average temperature on the top of the mountain is only about 20-23C, while the temperature in Ho Chi Minh City is around 34-35C.
The Bodhisattva statue on the peak of Ba Den Mountain
At a height of 986m above sea level, Ba Den Mountain is the highest mountain in the south. It is a favourite destination for many visitors and pilgrims from far and wide.
The site, with many pagodas and caves, is also spiritual land in the south, worshipping Linh Son Thanh Mau (Linh Son Holy Mother).
Notably, the Bodhisattva statue on the peak of Ba Den Mountain has set two records - the tallest bronze Bodhisattva statue in Vietnam and the tallest bronze Bodhisattva statue situated on a mountain in Asia.
