A wide variety of activities imbued with the cultural identity of the northwestern and northeastern regions will be held at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, from April 29 to May 3.

Visitors to the village will have the chance to learn about the traditional rural market of the ethnic minority groups including H’Mong, Dao, Thai, Muong, Kho Mu and Tay, featuring various specialities, handicraft products and unique dishes.
The market will be more vibrant with folk singing and dancing activities and interesting folk games.
Notably, traditional festivals of the ethnic minority groups will also be reproduced in the village including the Say San Festival of Mong ethnic people from Lao Cai Province, the Han Khuong Festival of the Thai ethnic group, and the Festival celebrating the victory of the Nung ethnic people.
A programme honouring tea products and the special features of Thai Nguyen tea is expected to attract numerous visitors to the “common house” of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups.
Notably, an exhibition entitled "Theo Dau chan Dai tuong Vo Nguyen Giap" (In the Footsteps of General Vo Nguyen Giap) is held in the village, featuring poems on the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu and the life and career of the General. The exhibits were created by teacher-journalist Nguyen Thi My Dung.
