Mr. Pham Tan Hung, Director of the Truong Dinh Eco-Agricultural Tourism Cooperative, said that since its operation five months ago, the 10ha Kokoro Farm has welcomed about 100 groups of schools and thousands of retail guests to visit and experience.
In order to bring a vibrant and memorable summer to visitors, the Kokoro Farm builds a tour called ‘Experience a farm day’ where participants can take care of pets, practice farming at the vegetable garden, play collective games, go swimming in streams, catch fish, fly kites, light campfires, etc.
Additionally, participants in the ‘Beloved Farm’ programme, have the opportunity to experience farming work, including plowing the soil, sowing seeds, planting trees, chasing ducks, wading through mud to catch fish, and preparing food.
Besides, many visitors are excited about taking care of pets such as South American dragons, hamsters, pigeons, rabbits, sheeps, goats, dogs, pigs, chickens and ducks.
Aside from serving dishes on the spot such as Quang noodles, ‘bun cha ca’ (rice noodles served with fish cake), lagu bread, chicken hotpot, braised snakehead fish and sour fish soup, the farm offers a rental service of tents, stage, lighting and sound systems, and designing and printing banners as per request.
Especially, guests travelling in groups freely can bring their own food and fruits and rent the venue’s barbecue stove to use.
As an emerging eco-tourism and experience tourism destination in Hoa Vang District, the Kokoro Farm is gradually improving its infrastructure to provide better services to tourists, with a focus on designing more areas to grow flowers, organic vegetables and fruits.
Notably, the farm has a beautiful and cool lotus and water lily pond, both serving guests to enjoy the scenery, check-in, and creating a source of food ingredients on the spot.
Currently, Kokoro Farm is creating stable jobs for 6 local workers. Only 30 minutes' drive from the city center, Kokoro Farm contributes to enriching the picture of community tourism based on ecological and indigenous agriculture in suburban Hoa Vang District.
