Having a picnic at Bu Lach grassland is a good choice

If you desire to go to the immense Mongolian steppe once in your life, you will feel partly satisfied when visiting and lying on the verdant and smooth grass of the Bu Lach grass­land in Dong Nai Commune, Bu Dang District, Binh Phuoc Province.

Bu Lach, also called Bau Lach, grassland is made up of 20 different fields. Some are only five to ten hectares while the largest one is up to 150ha. The special thing is that the grass here is very short despite not being cut. Surrounding the grassland are big secular trees.

 

Besides, tourists should not miss the lakes. Some lakes parallel the grasslands whilst others are enclosed by the fields. They are always full of water. And the water is so clear that you can see such fish as carp, eel and snakehead fish. Bu Lach grassland is also home to various animals, including birds, storks, deer, monkeys and porcupines. Here, visitors can see herds of buffalo leisurely grazing. Another attraction is that you can enjoy the melodious sound of mo trau (a kind of wooden bell hung on the buffalo's neck) and cicadas in harmony.

 

Bu Lach grassland was considered as "God's golf course" To local people, this is "Heaven's playground." Grass fields are places where fairies play and the ponds are where they swim.

 

With an area of nearly 500 hectares and wonderful scen­ery, Bu Lach grassland is an ideal destination for people to picnic or camp. Moreover, tourists have the opportunity to enjoy popular dishes of the Central Highlands such as com lam (sticky rice cooked in bamboo-tubes, then the tube is broken open to remove the contents), ruou can (wine drunk out of a jar through straws) and wild boar.


At night, the climate in Bu Lach like in Central Highlands. The wind from forests seems to blow all into the grassland. You need bring warm closes if you intend to overnight in the camp or on hammock. Fish in the lake, firewood from the nearby forest, buy something from terrace field you will have an impressive night here.
