Nestled in Sung Phai Commune, Lai Chau City, Lai Chau Province, Pu Sam Cap Cave sits at an altitude of about 1,300 to 1,700 meters above sea level and consists of over ten large and small caves. Among these, three main cave systems stand out: Thien Mon, Thien Duong, and Thuy Tinh.

The journey to Pu Sam Cap Cave is challenging, with fallen ancient trees covered in moss scattered along the path. Travelers start their adventure by climbing stone steps up the mountain to reach Thien Mon Cave. Here, a large, deep entrance reveals a spacious central chamber spanning up to 600 square meters. The cave floor is mostly flat, dotted with various small and large pools of water.

As explorers venture further, they encounter a mesmerizing array of abstract stalactite formations. In the mysterious dimness of Thien Mon Cave, visitors can easily feel the cool air emanating from the rock formations, creating a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

After leaving Thien Mon Cave, it takes about half an hour to traverse a forest, navigating among ancient trees that retain their untouched beauty, to reach Thien Duong Cave. Upon entering, visitors find themselves on terrain with undulating curves resembling terraced fields. Deeper exploration reveals impressive stalactite formations cascading from the ceiling like natural staircases.

Lastly, Thuy Tinh Cave, one of the three main caves in the Pu Sam Cap complex, remains closed to tourists due to its inconvenient location and lack of safety conditions.

Pu Sam Cap Cave remains rustic and unspoiled, with only a few signs directing tourists. The paths through the caves are limited to some stone steps and basic handrails, and the lighting system is still quite rudimentary. Therefore, visitors should exercise caution and explore in groups to ensure safety during their journey.
