Under the framework of the 7th Ha Noi International Film Festival (HANIFF), a photo exhibition titled "Vietnam's UNESCO-recognised heritage - Experiencing through cinema footage" will take place in Ha Noi from November 7 to 11.
The photo exhibition of film backgrounds in Ha Noi is within the framework of the 2022 Ha Noi International Film Festival.
The exhibition is jointly organised by the Department of Cinema and the Vietnam Film Institute, in response to the 7th Ha Noi International Film Festival in 2024. It aims to introduces images of Vietnam's UNESCO-recognised heritages, including World Heritages, Intangible Cultural Heritages, Documentary Heritages, and World Biosphere Reserves.
The exhibition also aims to serve the cultural and spiritual life of people and tourists in Ha Noi. At the same time, it contributes to promoting the image of a beautiful and hospitable Vietnam, celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Ha Noi Liberation - the City for Peace.
The exhibition is expected to promote Vietnamese tourism and Vietnamese cinema as well as to attract investors and film producers from around the world to Vietnam, thus contributing to expanding the Vietnamese film market to the world and integrating into the international film market.
The photo exhibition is divided two parts. The first part displays images and filming locations at famous sites in Vietnam, with an expected 200 images from films made by domestic and foreign filmmakers. These are images introducing Vietnam's heritages recognised by UNESCO.

The second part displays about 40-50 images taken by photographers of Vietnam's UNESCO-recognised heritages, such as Ha Long Bay, Cat Ba, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hoa Lu, Trang An, Hue Imperial City, My Son, Hoi An, and Son Doong Cave.
