A grand ceremony to celebrate the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and National Tourism Year 2010 will involve 8 cities and all members of the Council for Promotion of Tourism in Asia (CPTA).
At the annual meeting of CPTA held last week in Tokyo, Japan, the cities of Hanoi, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Beijing, Seoul, Jakarta, and Taipei all agreed to join the ceremony
Earlier, the meeting’s secretariat allowed the Hanoi delegation to introduce the ceremony and invite members to attend. The meeting agreed to list the ceremony in its memorandum of understanding.
The joint event will be advertised in CPTA member countries and on the CPTA website. Later the Hanoi delegation will discuss programme activities with each city.
The delegation presented Hanoi and the joint event using documents, prints and videodiscs.
