Saigontourist Travel Service Co. on Wednesday arranged a special tour for 25 foreign tourists from Tetra Pak Company to explore attractions in the city on old-fashioned Vespa scooters.
The tourists, who came for a MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions) tour, were guided to major attractions in the city such as the City Theater, Post Office, some French-styled houses, Ben Thanh Market, and Huyen Si Church, said Doan Thi Thanh Tra, manager of Saigontourist’s Department of Marketing.
She said that the company had received many MICE tourists in recent times. On September 8, Saigontourist arranged a MICE tour for foreign tourists from GSK Company to HCMC.
According to Tra, the number of MICE tourists catered to by Saigontourist had increased by 16% in the past two months compared to the same period of last year, taking the total number of MICE guests in the first eight months of 2009 to more than 54,000.
