The Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh has asked its relevant agencies to cooperate with the Phu Yen Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism to survey Xuan Dai Bay for recognizing it as a national relic and creating documents to propose it as one of the world’s most beautiful bays.
Xuan Dai Bay is located in the Cau River District, with a water surface area of more than 130.4km² and is shaped by the Co Ngua (Horse Neck) mountain chain which crosses 15km along the sea. The bay is surrounded by green coconut forests.
Xuan Dai Bay has many seductive beaches such as Vung La, Vung Su, and Vung Chao with islands and peninsulas such as Ong Xa, Nhat Tu Son, Da Mai, and Tai Ma. It is also famous for precious and rare seafood products such as: crabs, lobsters, and groupers. Experts praised the tourism potential in Xuan Dai Bay. It is being planned to develop types of leisure tourism, under-water sports and sea eco-tourism.
To prepare National Tourism Year 2011 in South-Central coastal provinces, Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism entrusted Department of International Cooperation and Vietnam National Administration of Tourism with promotion plan establishment from now to 2011 including advertisements on Phu Yen’s landscapes of Xuan Dai Bay, Da Dia Rapids, Vung Ro Relic, Da Bia Mountain, and Mui Dien Lighthouse.
