The second international sculpture creation camp entitled “Impression of Hung Vuong ancestral land†opened at the Hung Kings’ Temple Complex in the northern midland province of Phu Tho on December 3, 2009.
The event was organised by the Phu Tho provincial People’s Committee and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
On show are 32 sculptural works from 36 Vietnamese and foreign sculptors including 11 cultural works made by 11 sculptors from India, Germany, the US, Japan, China, the Republic of Korea and Latvia.
The event aims to beautify the natural scenery at the Hung Kings’ Temple Complex with high-quality cultural pieces to serve major festivals and increase the quality of spiritual culture for visitors and local people. The artistic and cultural works to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and Hung Kings’ Death Anniversary in 2010.
The creation will run until December 18, 2009.
