An exhibition of historical photos featuring Hanoi in the old days has opened in Hanoi Library, 47 Ba Trieu Street, and will run until the end of this month.
The exhibition features 100 photographs of the capital’s people, life, the Old Quarter and architecture, taken by local and foreign artists.
To mark the occasion, French collector Philippe Chaplain, has donated five original postcards on old Hanoi, a book and a French pottery dish dating back to the 19th century related to Hanoi.
The exhibition has been organised by Xua Va Nay (Past and Present) magazine to celebrate 1,000th anniversary of Hanoi and to help visitors gain a deeper understanding of the capital.
