All ready for international fireworks competition in Danang

Preparations for the third international fireworks competition have nearly been completed, ready for the opening day on March 27.

The two-day event, themed “The Legend of Han River”, was selected to be one of the seven major events nationwide this year which will be held to prepare for the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi. It will also celebrate the 35th anniversary of the central city of Danang’s liberation day.

Five participating teams from the US, Japan, France, Portugal and host Danang-Vietnam, are also ready for the competition.

Portugal’s Glupo Luso Pirotecnia team will bring to the festival a 20-minute performance entitled “Dragon and Fire – A place where legend was fold” while the Tamaya Kitahara team from Japan will provide the audience with a 24-minute 30-second performance on the base of music and the sparkling lights of fireworks are expected to embellish the night sky on Han River.

The host Danang-Vietnam team’s performance will include five parts, namely “Place Where Dragon Gives Birth”, “the Youthful Han River”, “Han River – the Sorrows of War”, “Han River with Rising Waves”, and “Han River – Love and Aspiration”.

The US-based Pyrotecnico team, with its 75 years of experience, will devote a powerful performance lasting 24 minutes and 8 seconds accompanied by Rock ‘n’ Roll love songs.

The Jacques Couturier Organisation team from France will tell the audience about the Legend of Au Co and Lac Long Quan in its 20-minute 30-second performance.
